Last weekend we had a Love and Respect Marriage Retreat at Peniel Ranch. It was a wonderful time for couples to fellowship and grow with other couples. At the same time, we ran a kid's program for the kids brought along. Even with over 30 kids, we had a blast and it ran smoothly.
Of all the days we spent together, Saturday was especially memorable. We made cider from the apples off the trees at the Ranch, which was a definite hit for the kids and their parents. Many of the men and boys took time to go fishing, too. It was a good weekend for fishing and they reeled in a significant number. That night some of the older teens put on a fancy date night dinner for the couples. They loved it! The candlelight, waiters, music, and pleasant conversation made for an excellent evening.
It is our prayer that this weekend would be rejuvenating for all the couples that came and we pray that, continuing forward, these marriages would glorify God.
