Spring Work Retreat

Spring brings things to be done! Come out to the ranch and serve the Lord by doing work projects.

Peniel Ranch relies on volunteers to continue the operation of camps and maintenance of the facility. We are so grateful for those who have come out in the past. We would love for you to come when you can and stay as long as you want! We will be working on projects around the Ranch this weekend. Below are some ideas of projects you can do.

 Smaller Projects

  • Landscaping (weeding front patio, mowing lawns, pine cone and leaf pick up)
  • Tomahawk backboard
  • Deep cleaning bunkhouses and suites
  • Deep clean dinning hall
  • Railing down by waterfront steps
  • Railing installed on the inside of the family suites
  • Install tall toilets in Ranch suite #15 and DeLano apartment
  • Family Suite #19- leaky shower faucet, needs a light bulb in the ceiling fan
  • Destroy wasp nests around buildings
  • Organize laundry rooms
  • Clean windows and window sills of suites and bunkhouses
  • Recording Character Camp Song videos

Kitchen Projects

  • Make egg bakes
  • Make meatloaf
  • Make Mexican lasagna
  • Make enchilada filling
  • Make enchilada sauce
  • Make rolls
  • Make cinnamon rolls
  • Make granola
  • Make one batch of pizzas
  • Organize freezer
  • Organize pantry
  • Deep clean fridge
  • Clean windows and window sills
  • Clean walls and edging
  • Replace fire extinguishers
  • Organize and label cleaning products
  • Make cleaning cadies
  • Change mop heads

Building Projects

  • Ranch House- drywall repair, painting (interior/exterior), bathroom caulking, foundation vent screens, roof flashing, kitchen- counters and flooring installed and new flooring installed in entry wall
  • Shalom Cabin- finish out wall heaters, fans, painting, drywall repair, repair/replace screens in windows, patch exterior holes, finish porch, etc.
  • The Lodge/Dining Hall- ceiling drywall repair, painting upstairs in mtg room, wash windows, clean off spiderwebs on ceiling and walls, re organize merch area, organize small closet under the stairs, organize and sort toys/play room, organize and sort craft closet, organize and sort games, organize and sort hallway closet.
  • Horse round pen – weld and install posts
  • Gaga ball Pit - rebuild
  • Gutter ball - build
  • Box hockey – build
  • Waterslide- build
  • Tomahawk Target – rebuild
  • Landscape –maintenance, clean up, garden work, tree pruning, IRRIGATION/SPRINKLER REPAIRS, burn piles
  • Cement work - around dining hall, extend and repair current basketball court, foundations for strawbale construction

This camp will be centered on different projects, but there will be time to fellowship and dig into God's word. Need a break from life? Come experience something that refocuses your eyes on what's important- God, His word, and serving Him!
