Our April Character Camp was during one of the most beautiful weeks in April! It was sunny and warm and was perfect for lots of outdoor games and activities!
The first day we had 14 kids, and they spent the morning out in the yard playing games and enjoying the sunshine. We had some great conversations and connections with kids yesterday. Pastor Spencer talked about Daniel and encouraged the kids to stand alone and do what’s right. They made frustration pencils with one of the ladies during crafts, and we tried a new baking project of making snack/protein balls. The kids seemed to really like them, but they were messy!! Then they spent lots of time outdoors playing Gaga ball, baseball, throwing tomahawks and knives, and all sorts of other things!
Over the next couple of days, the number of kids was around 20. Some of the activities they did were Gaga ball, basketball, baseball, pool and ping pong, archery, bread making, and crafts. The kids also had a blast with fishing and an obstacle course. It was a great week and we can't wait to see them in July!
